ArsenalForce.ca was the only decent price aggregator for Canadian firearms and ammo, and it vanished. The alternative is manually checking half a dozen retailer sites every time you want to buy something. That's tedious. This fixes it.
Current state
Prototype runs locally with store functionality working. Currently fine-tuning the crawlers to reliably pull pricing data across retailers. No public site yet.
What I learned
Scraping retailer sites is the easy part. Normalizing product data across stores with inconsistent naming, SKUs, and categories is where the real work lives.
What's next
Finish crawler reliability, launch MVP, and run a Patreon campaign to fund ongoing development and hosting costs.
